It’s always a thrill to see one of my photographs published on the cover of a publication – with permission of course.
“About Town” is a semi-monthly publication from the City of Edina. It contains information about the people, places and history of this great community (population about 40,000) located on the southwest corner of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
On the cover of the Winter 2014 edition is a photograph that I shot way back in January 2011. It’s of a pedestrian bridge at Centennial Lakes Park in Edina. It was taken at about 8pm in the evening, just after 4 inches of fresh snow had fallen. The lighting is warmer because the city lights light up the snowy scene. I like the warmer look and kept the color adjustment pretty close to what I had seen.
You may have seen this photograph before. It has been published on the back cover of the Edina 2011-12 Fall/Winter Activities schedule and the 2013 Town Planner calendar. There is also a large, framed black and white version at Jason’s Deli in Edina.
